Common Questions ?

Q: Do you provide the gear?

A: Yes we provide the kayak, paddle, bouancy aid, cag top, wetsuits, spray decks and helmets even dry bags to take your lunch in

Q: Do we need to bring anything?

Swim wear and wetsuit boots or old trainers. You will need to provide your own lunch, a garage is close by. The remaining course fee with a will to learn and have fun.

Q: What time does the course start and finish?
A: 9.30 in the morning the doors open, when the kettle goes on. The course tends to finish back at the centre around 3.30-4pm

Q: How many people on the course?
A: We like to keep the group size small to provide individual coaching. Our maximum group size is 8 with 2 instructors, we mainly keep to 6.

Q: Will the course be cancelled if not enough people join?

A: No unless the course requires a certain number of candidates to run as in star award assessments. Otherwise we will still run the course if your the only paddler booked on.

Q Do I need previous experience?
A: No our introduction courses are designed to safely train you to be confident and in control of the kayak. We also enjoy helping paddlers progress to there first river trips on Grade I/II white water

Q: Is there any discount offered?

A: Yes for group bookings of 4 or more and multiday bookings receive a £10 discount per place per day.

Q: Can we book a flexible course date?
A: If your booking in advance there is a good chance you can get your own preferred course date. The course will then be advertised.

Q: Are there any facilities?

Yes the centre has male and female changing rooms, a classroom, shower room/drying room, small kitchen and toilets with disabled access. Secure on site parking.
